Stylus Recommendation for Wacom digitizers

I'm not familiar with all digitizers so I'll say that this works with older wacom digitizers and even some modbooks

the axt-mb100-0s01 stylus by axitron works with my tc1100, tc4200 I'm sure that it would work with other tablets such as motion and gateway of that same era.

The good news is that there is a compnay online selling them for $15 a piece with an eraser and side button, plus extra nibs. They are called nationwide. just google "axt-mb100-0s01" and hit shopping and it should appear on your search.

Just wanted to share the information. :)

I've ordered one also and received it in the mail 3 days after placing my order online. The stylus looks like a clone of the UP710E eraser pen that Wacom used to make (but now hard to find), except that the color is all white. The eraser works correctly with my Onenote on a TC1100. The extra tips look like they could be useful for people who do drawing, etc.

You are welcome, glad to hear someone benefited. You can purchase 2 of these for what you'd pay for one up710e. :) I'm going to add that it works also with the tc4400, that I just tested.

All Wacom Tablet PCs from the oldest TC1000 to the Samsung Series 7 Slate use the same pens. For compact use, the $15 pens you're talking about are just fine, though I'm sorry to see the company raised its prices. I used to see 3-packs on eBay for jsut under $30. Now they do seem to be going for more...

It's a good buy at $30 and I use that one most frequently of all of my pens (and over the last few years I've collected over a dozen of them, and even hacked together one myself). I paid something like $80 for the one I have and don't regret it at all.

Are you implying that a Motion LE or J series pen would work with the Samsung Series 7 Slate? I think I am buying that slate and am very attached to my Motion pen.

Yep, they will work fine on the Series 7 Slate.

And now that I've got my new Series 7 Slate, I can strengthen my statement a bit. Pens from any other TabletPC (including Motion LE series) work just fine on the Series 7 Slate. The digitizer is exactly the same. The only problem I'm having now is getting the Wacom drivers to work in windows 8 without borking the cursor, but that's another issue entirely.

BTW Does your have CBB or CBC in the serial number? According to other reviewers having those letters in the serial means they are the newer batch and supposedly will not have screen separation issues.

Also, does the eraser of the Motion pen work on the slate?

1) The slate itself is pretty awesome. Resolution is a disappointing step down from the LE1700, but that would be true of any new slate, since the entire tech world has apparently forgotten how to make high resolution displays. Speed is great, touch is surprisingly good, and compares favorably in hardware to an iPad. In software, even with Win8, the touch is still lacking but far better than I expected. Overall while I miss the extra pixels, in all other ways it is a solid replacement. As a side note, my normal patterns include heavy OneNote and Excel use, moderate Sketchbook Pro, Photoshop and Illustrator use, and light InDesign use. In the first three it's stood up well when compared to my LE1700, but I'm waiting for the CS5.5 upgrade and haven't tested the last three yet.

2) The serial number does have "CBB" in the middle, but I honestly haven't tried to flex it yet, because I don't want to break it. Overall while it's not built like a tank (or Motion tablet) it seems solid enough.

3) Yes, erasers work fine. Second buttons do not yet because of the Wacom driver issue in Win8 (and apparently there are still problems in Win7 as well) which is a disappointment, but I figure something that will be fixed.
