Glad it worked for you M285 and CX210 owners!
I have found a way to force standard (non-mobility) X600 drivers to work with the X600SE Mobility in the M280 / CX200 / S-7200!!!!
1. Download the latest standard Catalyst driver for Vista 32-bit
http://ati.amd.com/support/drivers/v...n-vista32.html
2. Run the installer. Press Install on the Catalyst: Installation Folder window. This will unzip all of the files to your hard disk.
3. When the next dialog pops up, press OK. Then press Cancel on the next window. You should be back at your desktop.
4. Open up the Device Manager and click the + next to display adapters.
5. Double-click "MOBILITY X600 SE."
6. Click the driver tab, and click "Update Driver."
7. Click "Browse My Computer for Driver Software..."
8. Click "Let Me Pick from a List of Device Drivers on My Computer"
9. Click "Have Disk."
10. Click "Browse."
11. In the "Locate File" dialog, navigate to C:\ATI\Support\7-4_vista32_dd_ccc_enu_44985\Packages\Drivers\Displa y\LH_INF\" and double-click on "CL_44985.inf".
12. Press OK on the next dialog.
13. Now you should see a rather extensive list of ATI graphics cards. Scroll until you find "RADEON X600 Series" and press OK.
14. Any boxes that come up nagging you, just press continue or OK. Once the procedure is complete, you should be able to view the driver details. Check the date and title to make sure the new driver was installed.
STEPS 15 and up are OPTIONAL!! They provide instruction on how to force install Catalyst Control Center!
15. Navigate to "C:\ATI\Support\7-4_vista32_dd_ccc_enu_44985\Packages\Apps\CCC\Graph ics-Full-Existing\" and run the installer! After installing, a reboot will be required even though you are not prompted to restart.
NOTE: If STEP 15 does not work, try doing the same thing, but run the installer located here instead: "C:\ATI\Support\7-4_vista32_dd_ccc_enu_44985\Packages\Apps\CCC\Graph ics-Full-New\"
GOOD LUCK FELLAS!
