Just got my tablet and making my first post on it!! Boy am I excited!!! I got an Acer C11Ti from buy.com (great deal). This thing is the perfect size, the keyboard is a bit small but nothing i cant get used to!! Love the fact that its a convertable, dont think i could live without the keyboard, yet!

Sooo whats the first thing i should do..
- I updated my windows drivers
- Calibrated the pen
...what now? Seems like so much to learn/do

Dont just update windows DRIVERS, update windows itself by going to windowsupdate (on the start menu, OR, windowsupdate.microsoft.com)... Im generally a security type, so I always secure up a computer once it's up and running. Put a password on all accounts, even the root administrator account you DONT see normally (you can see it in safe mode).

After it's secured, I usually like to customize all of the extra buttons on the tablet. I also like to customize the power settings, based on what I know Im going to be doing with the laptop.

Otherwise, it looks like you're probably good to go. Most laptop's and tablet PC's come pretty much ready to go out of the box.

If you have Outlook XP, download the Tablet PC Office Pack to use inking functionality in Office.
If you have Outlook 2003, try sending an email in ink. Your friends will love it.

-Good deal. Got everything up-to-date! Had the Tablet on stand-by for most of my 8hr. day and still hade 30% left when i got home!
