Ordered the Acer C111 from laptopsinc.com last week. They assured me I would get it today (Tuesday.)
I called today since it never arrived, and it turns out not only did it never ship, they never received the Tablet from Acer on Thursday as they had expected.
Obviously they dropped the ball since they didn't even look for the missing Tablet that they were supposed to ship Friday. They say FedEx shows they delivered it to Global Computers (www.laptopsinc.com), but Global claim they never received it there. (Someone is possibly being untruthful; either FedEx or Global.) Even if FedEx lost it, why didn't Global look for a Tablet they should have shipped Friday until I call today?
They are working on getting it all squared away and hopefully I will get it by Friday. They are willing to order another one from Acer to get it overnighted to them, configure it, and overnight it to me.
Hopefully www.laptopsinc.com can resolve it, but obviously they have some glitches in their system that should be addressed.
Anyone have experience with other vendors? I need this Tablet by Friday and have one or two internet vendors that can overnight it to me.
If any one has very strong positive feelings about another vendor for Acer Tablets, I would just use them. Please let me know if you know of someone reliable.

I am not sure the most people read all posts. I myself focus on the forums that address the areas pertinent to me. I usually just read two of the 24 forums: Acer (because I want to buy an Acer) and Fujitsu (because that is my second choice for a Tablet.)quote:Originally posted by motion1

I crossposted this message in two forums for the following reasons:
1) Acer forum post: I wanted to know if anyone who frequents the Acer forum (probably mostly Acer owners) knows of a reliable vendor for teh Acer tablet that they have experience with.
2) This post was targeted at other vendors as the description reads: "Commercial announcements and ads can be posted here. (Vendors, please use this forum instead of the For Sale forum)"
3) I wanted a quick answer. I really needed a Tablet by Friday, day after tomorrow. I sought the advice of two classes of readers
a) Acer end users via the Acer board
b) Vendors via this board.
There are 24 forums on this website. I posted in the two that I hoped would provide me with a quick answer because I wanted to place an order in the next 24 - 36 hours. I did not post in the other 22 forums that I felt would not be helpful in my quest.
Try CDW. It appears they have same day shipping. We ordered 3 Acers from them for our office and they arrived in a couple of days.
CDW is a major vendor and very reliable. Much better prices too !!! [money]

Insofar as Acer goes, actually for that matter any Tablet, I'd highly reco escstore.com. Home of whatisnew.com and Lora. If you want the extra VAR service, like Windows Updates and check-ups and such, over the standard warehouse, ship-it-in-a-box style, ESC Tech is the place, as they know and deal with Tablets. CDW is just a superstore 'point A to point B' styled store.
