Default I have 8 TC1000's that I need to all have a comm

I have 8 TC1000's that I need to all have a common fax phone book, so I am wondering if I enter the information into one if I can copy that file to the others.

If I can, could you tell me which file I need to copy...

    Thanks in advance.

Either personal address book *.pab it used to be, from Win folder to win folder, or

Using Outlook Contacts, (Better idea I think) ; go to file/import&Export/Export to a PST file / copy that to your new machines, again, Outlook/import/export; this time choose import and away you go.

If you want a step by step let us know:)

well that is close, but I don't use Outlook or outlook express, the files were created in the Fax software (microsoft) address book.

I'm still looking for where the file information is stored...

    Thanks again

**** bump **** looking at the time of your last posting, I'm wondering if you saw this...

    Okay - try this:

    C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Application Data\Microsoft\Address Book\UserName.wab

replace UserName with the username of the user that is logged in.

    wab = Windows Address Book

This is only used if you don't have Outlook installed.

Found a very little bit of information about this here:

Sorry guys, I'm a Mac guy living with 8 Tablets... (Start Ribbing here)

Found the Address book in the start/allprograms/accessories/addressbook

I would just like to know where the file is that the address book accesses...

I usually just open up the program and export .wab to keep my various systems on par. I save it in a seperate file and call it my master, which is updated now and then, then imported into the other systems.

The only glitch I've found is if you create sub-folders in the address box, it imports all the info, but doubles up the copied files. If I don't create sub-folders, it updates the existing info without double entries (Make sence?)

Ok so we are getting close...

    WN -

I am this far and this is what I find:

    C;\Documents and Settings\Username\

But at this point in Tablet XP there is no Application Data visible in the user file under Documents and settings... could this be an invisible file, something I have to "turn on" before it is visible????

    Thanks again...

Did you try just opening the program, export with the .wab, save the file, and then importing the file into the other systems ?
I tried finding the "file" that the address book uses, never did.
