Well, well well, don't how much Acer's service differs in different places but..
My brand new C302 has been in service for over 2 weeks now, and all because they took it in for wrong type of servie, as my laptop was defect when I got it they should have dealt with it differently and so on but now after calling their support for the third time during this service I am finally a happy man.
They have serviced it and at least the digitizer is fixed, the rest I will have to read in the service log when I get it back, and that is TOMORROW!
And, as a Finnish customer I know my rights and asked for compensation as I haven't been able to use this new laptop "for soo long" (of corse my old laptop has been in regular use) and they gave me what I wanted.. promised to send a 2nd battery (for MedaBay) as soon as possible. The price for it would have been about 214 €. Now I just hope all the problems have been fixed.

The problem with it moving down to the left corner.
Actually the story getts btter, Acer surprised me. Only about 30 min after my call the postman called me. He told me he had a serviced laptop for me, and YES Acer had sent (before my call) my laptop with express. So they brought it to my doorstep!
Now after using it a while, and trying to make a good bootable cd for it I still haven't noticed any problems with it. The digitizer has been replaced, or the "control card" for it, + there has been some update for it's firmware (as they said in the phone). The keyboard, which had problems before, has not been replaced (at least it doesn't say in the service report) but it seems to work well...
My story continues, just in case someone wants to know..
I've been in contact with Acer support several times lately, and they seem to have huge problems with their e-mail, haven't recieved a single e-mail from them yet and today in the morning they confirmed they sent me an e-mail, and now (after 4 hours) it still hasn't arrived. They still promised it will arrive today, we'll see..
But as for what comes to the device itself. Within one week there has been two firmware updates to the digitizer, but my problem (cursor moves to down-right corner and not being able to access the corners with the penbutton pressed) the fw update probably won't be enough. I.e. I have to send my C302 to service again, but this time they promised to order the parts before I send in my computer. They will try to deliever it to my the next day after the service (sounds too good to be true).
My second BIG problem is the keyboard and some keys getting stuck. Again they ordered a new keyboard and will do a replace at service.
But just for all you out there who dim your screen because of the cursor-movement. Contact support and be nice with them, and you'll get what belongs to you, A WORKING COMPUTER!
I really like the C302, but if I keep having problems like this I can't say I would be a happy man... But let's see what they succeed in doing.
Other problems I have: sound too quiet when watching dvd movies (barely can hear something over the dvd-noise), when closing the screen, it moves a bit too much to the right - you have to move the screen a bit to the left to get it locked and the logo below the watch, gets warm - not sure it's a ptoblem but it's wierd.
I would think that your email service has a spam filter and thats why your not getting the emails.
No, or.. Well, yes it has a spam filter, but it doesn't filter away these messages.. I recieved (my first mail) from acer yesterday. It took their mail about 6-7 hours to get delivered. The problem has been that Acer usually don't contact me.. I have to call them.. But it seems as they are starting to treat me better now, as I have made a "real" complainment, and then accepted the battery as to fix up these things.

Nowadays many company tends to do that. The 6-7 hours delay is common due to day-time difference.
Well they said it goes trough Germany, so yes. But the timedifference is 2h compared to my time. But I know when the mail was sent, as I called Acer and they told me they "just had sent the mail" and that compared to when it actually arrived was about 6 hours...
Not sure that I would descibe this as "positive " service ..

By keyboard "some keys getting stuck" do you mean phsically stuck ..or that the key(s) seem to be repeating by themselves.
Key(s) repeating is a known issue and is not the keyboard.
There are several threads on this .
Acer does there own tech support.
