ive knowticed it EVER so slightly on the buttion side of the tablet, not enough to be worried about right now though, if i have to send it in for the digitizer issue, ill have them fix that too.
Well, I'm going to send my TC1100 in to get fixed because the top glass layer is coming unstuck. Has anyone else seen anything like this?
I noticed that the glass and plastic on one side do not line up any more (you can feel the edge of the glass when running your finger from the plastic to glass). If I press down lightly on the glass part, it squishes in, but I can hear the pop of a tacky surface coming unstuck... weird.
Doh, I don't want to be without my tablet pc for 5 days [cry] ... hopefully it will be all better soon.

First time I have heard this one! I sympathize though.... I need to send my TC1000 in for the "white ghost line" problem, and I really have a hard time being away from it!
I've been asking around if anyone has the same problem! Mine is specifically on the corner of the power outlet that is sorta unstuck. Conveniently, there's dust accumulating under it on that side as well.
Silicon sealing from the hardware store will fix that. No kidding.
Well - I'm sending mine in as well. Same deal as gadgetgirl's.
I couldn't let my tablet out of my hands until now (partially because I was finishing my ebook, and partially because I needed it for a meeting at work). I'm sending it off tomorrow.
The instructions for returning the tablet struck me as odd. The instructions ask you to disclose your system password, and a waiver to possibly restore the system software. I wasn't about to let them poke through my data, so I took out the hard drive. To make sure they won't reject the repair for this, I told the CSR that I'd prefer to send the tablet along without the hard drive. I keep getting the "we're told to encourage you to leave it in" response by the CSRs. I guess I'll wait and see. :-)
I don't think you need to worry about them restoring your computer. I believe there is an option on the forms that you are to sign, or not sign, to direct them to send the tablet back to you if the system has to be restored. Anyways, I sent my TC1000 in to fix to replace the LCD panel and check on the fan and I got everything back fine. All the info there but I guess if you do have important information you can remove the hard drive.quote:Originally posted by gadgetgirl

If they were to fix anything else I guess they would want the harddrive in so they can test to make sure the entire computer is working flawlessly after repairs.
gadgetgirl - how long have you had your TC1100 ?
I have had mine for two weeks now, no problems so far.
I have had it since around Christmas. I actually just got it back today, only 2 days after sending it in! The repair looks awesome, and my one dead pixel is gone. I am a happy camper. :-)
