The construction on the Acer is quite solid. I'd probably buy another Acer after owning the C110, as I have no real complaints with it.
Just reporting a near disaster which happened to me 2 days ago. I had the power cord connected to my Acer C110. When I got up in a hurry to answer the phone, I tripped on the cord and the computer flew off the table onto the floor and landed bottom first with an almighty crash. It was a drop of 3 feet. I had the screen tilted up 100 degrees. My heart sank! I thought my baby was dead!
Well, it did not miss a beat. All the programs which were opened were still running. There was no complaining noise from the harddisk. The screen was not cracked. The only damage with a tiny chip on the right plastic holder of the screen. It has not broken through and is still working. I thought that I'll wait 2 days before reporting this in case I find something wrong later. Since then, I have installed new drivers (http://www.tabletpcbuzz.com/forum/to...TOPIC_ID=9521&) and its eight bells and all is well.
SOMEWHERE IN MY YOUTH OR CHILDHOOD I MUST HAVE DONE SOMETHING GOOD.[)]

The 3 foot drop made quite a loud noise.
The noise from a 6 foot drop may be too loud for me![B)]
