Well.... I keep seeing that people are able to use this with the external dvd/cdrw instead of using the adapter that came with it. I was just looking to find one if its out there.quote:Originally posted by TravelMike

Here a post I submitted elswhere. If you can't find a powercable, you can make it yourself. If you find one, please let me know.
Mike.
I found out the power the external DVD/CD player needs is 5 volts. That's the same voltage as provided by the USB ports!
I cut the cable of the adapter (to use the plug wich goes into the DVD-player, as I couldn't find one in the shops), then cut up a USB-cable and connected the wires to the adapter-plug wires. Make sure you don't make a shortcut!!
(WATH OUT, + and - need to be correct, as it is DC-voltage. You can check this with a voltage meter. The inner pin of the plug going into the DVD player is +. In the USB cable, red= +, black= -). I suppose the other 2 wires are for data, and you won't need these 2.)
Plugged the USB in the tablet, and it worked!!
So I don't need mains to use the DVD/CD-player anymore!!
Hope I could be of any help,
Mike.

Be careful and try not to fry your USB ports.
