I thought that this was only available in OneNote. In OneNote, select the item you want to create the task for, go to Format, Note Flags, Create Outlook Task.
i thought Journal provided the option to insert a meeting from Outlook but the menu choice is not available in the Insert menu.
Anyone knows how to fix this?
Thanks, Rob

To insert an existing meeting (or task etc) from Outlook, just drag'n'drop into Journal (great way to start meeting notes, with all the details).
Journal won't allow you to go back the other way as rbushway says, you need OneNote for that.

I refer to what is outlined in:
http://www.microsoft.com/WindowsXP/e...3january20.asp
where is told that you should be able to tap the Outlook Meeting Information menu choice from the Insert menu in Journal and be prompted with a dialog where to pick the relevant meeting from.
Dragging and dropping works too but I'm just wondering why I don't see the menu choice in my Journal application.
cheers

This is because of an oversight regarding Office 2003 and the Tablet PC. With Office XP you had to install the office tablet pack to have ink features in Office XP. But this office pack also activated several things in Windows Journal, including inserting meeting information, and exporting to Outlook items. With a clean install of Office 2003, these features are not activated, even though they would work with Office 2003. Microsoft is well aware of the problem, and will probably release something to fix it and some point down the line. I have no idea when though.
