I've had my 3505 for a couple of days and I am already having problems with the screen. There are white horizontal lines on the black background of title screen and then there are numerous reddish vertical lines when it finally got to XP screen. However, after the computer is warmed up a bit, I don't have the problem. Before I go back to Circuit City and have them look at it, can someone advise what I can do to remedy the situation. Should I wait and give it a few days to let it "break in" or do you think it will be a persistent problem? Would reinstalling the video drivers do anything? All there possible loose wires to the display unit? Thank you for anyone who can help.

My 3505 worked great out of the box with no break-in period. It doesn't make sense to need a break-in or warmup period. I think the problem will persist. You can call the toll-free 800 number for Toshiba and ask them what to do. They may have you try reloading the drivers and see if that works. If not, they will probably have you take it back to the store. I think loose wires or anything hardware related should be fixed by an authorized service tech and should be under warranty.

Wish you luck so you can enjoy your new PC.

dluong, I wouldn't mess with it and I would just go back to Circuit City. If I am not mistaken, they will exchange it with the same model within 14 days. I have never had that problem, so I wouldn't risk it...

I checked my display properties and changed the color quality to 32-bit at 1024x768 and that seems to have solved the problem. Thank you all for the suggestions.
