Default Now that I have gotten my contact management dec

Now that I have gotten my contact management decision made (ACT! & Outlook (email only) and using Doublelook, the only piece left is a good searchable note gathering software. I've been using FC Tablet Planner (daily notes only) for all my notes because of its search function. Is there another piece of software out there that I am not familiar with that will perform the same function?

Journal does it. Click on the Magnifying glass and then choose the option to look the directory where you are storing your notes.

Okay, cool. So now the issue becomes how best to store them per se. What I used to do is keep my daily notes in a spiral notebook and whenever a question came up about a particular subject or conversation that I needed to review or retrieve I would thumb through the notebook and thumb through the notebook and try to find it. Tablet Planner has simplified my life but I don't think I need all the other stuff when it is available through other programs with the exception of e-binder.

I haven't used it yet only played with it. Again, sort of repetitive with other programs like Journal. It does offer tabs like a binder or OneNote but you would use file folders in Journal.

All of this is nice but overkill as well. When you have all the files or information already stored on your Tablet why would you need to transfer it into e-binder under a tab? This can all be confusing and overwhelming the way it is tossed at you in attractive gotta have bundles. Does this make sense?

I just found out that OneNote also does it well. Go to Edit, Find. It will search all of your notes.

If you use journal, store them in directories, sub directories off one one directory.

Since OneNote will also allow you to search and also organize by Tabs, try it.

I would recommend using only one program to do your notetaking: Journal, OneNote, or TabletPlanner.

Well done. That just eliminated Tablet Planner because now its a choice of either Journal or OneNote. Decisions, decisions.

Okay, one last question or suggestion. These are daily notes with just random comments, conversation tracking with clients or with other Agents I am in the middle of transactions with. For storing purposes or cataloging I guess I would set up by year/month/date. Which means you could have 365 entries. Which program makes the best sense to use, OneNote or Journal?

Probably OneNote. Create a folder for each year, a section for month in the year, and then a note in each section for each day. Probably quicker and easier to do that than with Journal. Just thought. I'd suggest trying it out.
