How did you avoid the sales tax? I tried both CA and MA, but taxes were applied to both. Is it just for your state?

I chose toshiba direct for the "no interest, no payments for a year" :)

I think the offer is good through 12/31

The posters who say the avoid the sales tax are mistaken.
The law of most if not all states provides for a USE or
SALES TAX. What it means is if you do not pay the tax
through the merchant you are still obligated to send the
sales tax in yourself to the State you live in. While
you may get away with not paying, many states have become
more aggressive in auditing sales, especially high ticket
items such as computers, and failure to pay can expose
the buyer/user to interest and penalties.
