Check out Ultramon on the web.
I am using a TC1000 and plug it into an external monitor in the office. I would like to use it in extended desktop mode to take advantage of having two screens. The only trouble is that I really would like to have my task bar on the external monitor. I do not necessarily need it to be the primary deisplay, or have my icons on the external monitor. But if I couls have my start menu and have apps automatically open to the exernal display, while keeping my email and onenote open on the tablet screen I would be in heaven.
Any suggestions?

You don't need Ultramon. Windows already has the solution built in. Simply click and hold, "grabbing" the taskbar in the center area, and then just drag it to the second monitor.

I tried that Shog and no go. When I get to the edge of the Tablet screen, it tries to dock to the side. I'll checkout Ultramon.
Ouch! $40 for a utility like this -- no thanx

Trust me, it works. I did it with every windows machine I have had. Win2K, WinXP both does this no problem.quote:Originally posted by swagner

Just makes sure that you are using your touchpad or better yet, a mouse to do it and not the pen. And you really gotta grag that sucker all the way to the middle of the second monitor.

Duh.. this was my own fault. You are right, it works fine. I had the darn toolbar locked once, and did not have the other monitor setup right another time. The Nvidia setting are great. I have a profile setup for when I am at my desk. Activate it and BAM! the toolbar moves over, the tablet is in portrait with the desktop monitor in landscape. Apps open on the scren I opened them on last. Thanks for the advice and pardon the ignorance.
