I've been playing around with a few so called "ink enabled" applications on my C110. Fairly basic stuff - Journal, OneNote, TabletPlanner (those are the big 3) and the Office 2003 suite.

I really only have one question/concern... Why the heck is ink not always ink? By which I mean, why can't I cut-and-paste ink from one program into another? Half the time the ink is converted to a graphic, text, or some other such thing. It's even curious that some programs will move their ink to another program just fine, but won't accept it in return:

For example, write something in FC TabletPlanner. Cut-and-paste into Journal. Nice, huh? Except for the part where it thinks its a drawing, but you can still tell it to treat it as text. Now do the reverse - write something in Journal, cut-and-paste into TabletPlanner. Lather, rinse, repeat with OneNote, Word, take your pick.

Why exactly is ink so, well, variable? How do we convince people to solve it? Right now I'm at a crossroads between OneNote and Journal. I just love the Journal simplicity (hate the text blocks in OneNote), but I love OneNote's tab organization (and hate finding stuff in Journal's open document panel).

I have no idea why they want to do so. So that you would buy the next upgrade version which is using unified "I ink "format?
May be all the developers are working in their own world. They don't think User would use other product ?
or may be the development of these products are parallel to each other.)
