Decent review article at http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,4149,1387746,00.asp
Sounds like they did more research than look at the literature on the box side this time. Big kudos for the screen, GPU, and CPU. Still complaining about the swivel keyboard - obviously they've never used it in the coach section of an airliner (where no normal sized laptops can be used).
All in all they understood the main points of the new machine, and in the print version of the magazine, they rate it as the best tablet PC available . . . currently.

Its really nice not to have to cart about the keyboard. Thats what I love about the TC1000, its so compact as a pure tablet.

Perhaps their view is that carrying around a separate keyboard that was not part of the original design is a "kludge".

Their complaints about the keyboard suggest to me that in some respects they (the reviewers/editors) still don't quite "get" the Tablet PC .
I can't even imagine the circumstance where I would want to type with the machine in my lap. I would be using the pen!
The rest of the time I appreciate the really tiny footprint.

Agreed WNewquay. There are (rare) instances when I have chosen to use the keyboard and had no flat surface around to type on. I was careful and had no problems. I think the keyboard comment in the article is from a non-tablet user . . . can't imagine why you wouldn't want to use a tablet just like a notebook if you could (i.e. slate mode is the exception, not the rule).
