    Default I would love to be able to specify different use

    I would love to be able to specify different uses for the tablet buttons depending on which application I'm using. Is there a way?
    If it's not possible now I would love it if someone could make such an addition - where should I post this request? I'm guessing that the button interface is made by acer and not generic to xp? That's why I'm posting this under acer...

    Hope you're ok with a forum n00b posting in the wrong forum... :)

    What model Acer do you have? In my C102ti and probably most Acer's you'd do the following;

    Go to Start > All Programs > Launch Manager, when you click on Launch Manager you'll get a window that will allow you to program all four buttons actually.

    I have P1 set to open Word and P2 set to open Excell, you do that by clicking on add and going to folder that has the program you want to customize and clicking on it.

    Otherwise go to your users manual, it should give you fairly clear instructions of how to customize your Launch Manager.

    ;)

    Thanks for trying to help me out, but I'm talking about having the buttons do different things depending on which application is active.

    An example could be having the round button be these things without reconfigure between application changes:

    desktop=wchange
    photoshop=undo

    There are of course the arrow buttons as well, and those could also be used for different things:

    explorer=scroll
    acdsee=browse forward/backwards
    Both of these can actually be accomplished now by having them set to mouse wheel action instead of arrow keys, but still, it would be cool to have them be other things in other applications... maybe changing brush size in photoshop.

    Astroinvader,

    StrokeIt

    Allows you to define gestures that are application specific. That is, a specific gesture can take on different meanings depending on the application that is running in a window where you make the gesture with the pen or mouse.

    You can read about this here:

    I know it is not what you were asking, but in terms of solutions - it's pretty close.

    That is: context specific responses to the same user input.

    Thanks guys - sounds like a very cool app - I love Opera's gestures so this solution might suit me well!
