Is this buyable? Where at? Link?
"I'm still trying to find a good case -- something along the line of the HP case, perhaps, which allows you to open up the portfolio and use it without taking it out, but alas, no luck yet.

I have no idea where else you could get this except for the RM website (haven't looked around).

It looks like it could work for what you were talking about.

That case can be found at http://www.rm.com/HE/Products/Produc...ref=194.4.3.75...quote:Originally posted by canon440

I was also looking at Targus cases, though I haven't yet found anything that would quite do the trick. Take a look at http://www.targus.com for more info.

My thoughts on my new SC2010:
Note that I have nothing to compare this to, for its my first tablet.
First off, my gut instinct is I LOVE IT, its not perfect but the experience has been positive so far. I've had it for over a week now.
Bad:
The fan comes on and off and is a bit noisy. This seems to happen more when I'm using flash but for FC Planner and other apps it doesn't come on too much.
The sides 1/2 inch of the screen weird out when the pen come across so you have to lift the pen to get it to click.
I couldn't get hotkeys to work in flash, but maybe I'm doing something wrong - like undo.
Yes the updates could of been supplied on a cd, but with dsl it was no big wait.
After an hour of use the unit gets a bit hot.
The keyboard doesn't really attach, and when it does it disconnects if you move it around. Felt really flimsy at first but it actually holds it quite well.
Good:
The screen seems bright enough, even with moderate sunshine.
I'm completely in love with the fingerprint log in, I can't imagine ever logging in another way!
Pen works well with artprograms (alias and flash), I have yet to install the wacom drivers to test it out on flash, but so far so good.
I have some sloppy handwriting and it recognizes it quite well. The dictation mode isn't that great but I have yet to use a real microphone.
Unit seems quick enough for what i'm using and have no complaints in the speed.
The battery is AWESOME! I had a 6 hour flight and it was on constantly, still had 30% left. No complaints here. Only takes about 4 hours to charge.
Came with a great carrying case and metal stand, very nice. Also came with backup cds, although manual could be more descriptive. Keyboard also has a cool mouse pad that connects to the side, very useful.
My experiences with customer support and ordering have been positive, they were quick to respond to my emails and questions. Although there was a delay in shipping, I received it when they said I would.
Well those are my 30 cents, I'm sure I'll have more later. I am keeping it though, mine doesn't have that bow, and I'll look into that green dithering thing.
I noticed in the SC2000 User Manual (http://www.electrovaya.com/support/m...000_manual.pdf) that there was a sliding latch that was supposed to lock the screen in place:

When you say that the keyboard "doesn't really attach", do you mean that this sliding latch doesn't lock the keyboard to the screen securely?
bc
Yes, it doesn't attach. The left locking mechanism doesn't lock the tablet to the keyboard. The right one works.
Does anyone know how to set up one of the buttons (not the power button) to put the machine in standby? I have the power button set up for hibernation but I want a quick way of putting it in standby as well.
Also, does anyone hear that background noise when using headphones? Its like a little beep that comes on every few seconds. Can I get rid of this? (I've tried turning down other sound volumes but the only one that works is the main volume).
This new storix DVD external is great! $130 CDN and it runs DVD's on computer USB power. Love it!
Has anyone had problem with windows and wireless internet (automatic IP's)? If so please let me know.
Thanks,
Flyboy
Where did you find the Storix for $130? Good to hear you like it. I've seen it around, but usually for more...quote:Originally posted by flyboy525

As someone who is about to hand his credit card over to them on Monday to pay for a Scribbler--and also as someone who uses wireless internet and automatic IPs almost exclusively--I'd be *unbelievably* interested in hearing more about that... what's the nature of the problems that you're having?quote:Has anyone had problem with windows and wireless internet (automatic IP's)? Hoping it's nothing serious... :)

Check your local Wal-Mart for the Storix...$109.00 but Out Of Stock for me.
I have a network/internet question. Recently I installed some software and my internet and network no longer works. I can get a ping off my address and the connection seems to be fine. My dial up seems fine too yet I can't see my other computers nor get explorer to work. Has anyone had any problems with this on the sc2010? I've also checked to see if I have duplicate winsock drivers and I don't. I've uninstalled the new software and still nothing works. Thanks for any help!
