None at all I imagine.
Of course, there's one solution. It can run Vista. :D
Has anyone had their hands on this modbook?

I am interested but want to hear from a real user before I consider buying one. I'm also concerned about the software; their is a lot of tablet software written for windows. I don't know of too much written for a mac os.
Thanks,
Leo

actually... ALL OF IT! sergei- u just dont get it. The Mac OS is tablet conditional- everything that works with the os... thus works with the stylus.
i tested one of their pre-production units last month... SWEET. it will run Vista Tablet PC home expert office version blah blah... [lol, joke, i use it too!], but u have the advantage of running osx, IMO a superior OS.
u get the best of both worlds, plus a bigger screen than any slate around...
rumor has it they are working on a 15" version as well.
I think the question is, aboo, is there any software designed for notetaking, with handwriting recognition etc? I don't think there is. There needs to be some kind of software with vectorized and searchable ink before the modbook will be a viable option for students and others who take a lot of notes.
OS X has handwriting recognition built-in:

I was approached by this company about reselling their tablet, but so far I don't know of any actual units that have shipped.
Hi! i've recently started to look at getting a either a macbook OR a tablet pc but could'nt make up my mind, then i came across the rumers of the modbook!
Looks and sounds pretty damn good and i think it would serve me well! (being an art/digital/graphic student!)
Im very seriously considering the possibility of placing an order for one! (some time in the next 3-5 weeks, when i have the, er, *funds* available lol)
And was wondering if anyone around here had anymore info on them!!?
aboo, since you've actually tested one (even if it was a pre-production model) could i ask if you have used any typical pc tablets that you could compare to it, so that i have some first hand info on the most common differences between the two!!quote:Originally posted by aboo
