Default I think I have found a solution to the pen bleed

I think I have found a solution to the pen bleed problem. I manufactured a small gasket from a clear rubber earing back protector (available from a jewelry store). I had to enlarge the hole a bit, but I was able to insert it just below the pointed part of the tip insert. The gasket prevents the tip from going all the way into the pen. I've posted a picture below.

Nice pics ... if only I could see 'em. Otherwise a pretty cunning solution. Does it affect the click response at all ?

Sorry about that. The picture is up now.

The pen requires a little extra pressure, but not much. I tend to press a little hard anyway, so it isn't a problem for me.

I think that's the whole problem with the pen bleed issue: how hard you press on the pen tip. I have had only a handful of occassions where my pen bled, and it was usually because I was writing fast and tense. As soon as I eased up on the pen, the problem disappeared.

    Great solution though!

    Sergio,

I agree that the problem is the result of pressing too hard. For those of us who routinely press too hard, pen bleed becomes a persistent symptom. The gasket seems to take some of the pressure off the internal switch. When I insert a spare tip without the gasket, bleed returns almost immediately. Since installing the gasket on a pen I know had a bleeding problem, the symptom has not returned.
