I just got my Acer and when I tried to connect to my LAN, it was a no go. I tried several different cables and ports but could not get it to light up. I wanted the 10/100 support. Anyone had this issue? Am I missing something?

I had a similar problem, I don't know if yours was as simple as mine, but the ethernet card may not be set up yet. Just press the Invilink button to switch to the LAN and XP should detect and set it up for you.

I went to Invilink and it only has a wireless button. Could you be more specific? Are you talking about the wireless button?

    Thanks

yeah the invilink button is the one that switches between the wireless and the ethernet card. you need to have wchange.exe and launch manager installed though i think it should have been done automatically. when you press the button, launch manager should pop up and the wireless 802.11 box should be unchecked. this was the problem i had - and xp just detected the ethernet card right after and set it up.

Does your red invilink light lit up when you turn on when you turn on the invilink button?
