Oh, yeah. I've seen it plenty. No big deal for me, just annoying.
Yesterday I dropped my M1300 into standby as I usually do to drive home. When I got home half an hour later the power light was a solid green. The tablet wouldn't respond to the power switch or any of the buttons, and plugging in the keyboard didn't help. However I could hear the drive working.
I ended up removing the battery completely, after which the tablet booted normally - not even a whinge from XP about improper shutdowns. Everything seems fine now, but .... has anyone seen anything similar & is it something I need to worry about?

Probally has something todo with the movement from standby to hibernate?? todo that, I think it wakes up, does the hibernate, then goes back to sleep. Try making it wait longer before hibernation, or turn off the autohibernate all together (its in the power panel)

OK, if I see the problem again I'll try that, thanks. How long is the battery likely to last on standby if I have to turn hibernation off?

That happened to me in class today. I turned the machine on to standby after I got it all set up for class and then the teacher walked in 2 minutes later and I tried to recover from standby but it was completely blank and the green light was on. I held the switch for 5 seconds to cut power and then turned the machine back on. It didn't toss me a message or anything either. I didn't worry about it, thought it was a simple glitch. But if it happened on your device, too ...
BTW, I have standby set to never and hibernate set to 2 hours. It didn't try to go into hibernation in those 2 minutes. The screen is set to die out after 5, so no power settings would have come in to play in that amount of time.
The battery should last for a good week in standby.

This same thing happened to me. Is there a reset button on this thing?
