    Hi,
Just came back from a car trip in Canada, east coast: Ontario, Quebec, Caspegie and new-Brunswick = 3 and a half weeks and 6200km.
TC1000 hooked up the car cigarette lighter via an inverter (input 12v output 220v / 300watts) and running Oziexplorer with a CF GPS. Running together with some music, from the HD or a USB CD drive.

Except for a couple of reboot, due to moving map freeze that happened after hibernating, not a glitch!
I am using a Haicom-302 Compact Flash GPS. It comes with an extra magnetic external antennae you can use or not. It connects to the GPS built-in antennae.

I found the tablet to be very rugged and easy to use in the car.

The track file recorded for all the trip is 5867 kb and has 86404 points! Some of these points are redundant for I sometimes forgot to shut down the recording on stopovers...

The road maps of canada where downloaded from the Quebec, Ontario and New-Brunswick governments sites.

Good to hear it worked well, I used my TC1K with a GlobalSat CF-GPS on a recent boating holiday.

I ran Memory-Map with Maptech marine charts and Ordnance Survey Charts for the inland river we visted and it was great. I also had a few lockups when the system went into stand-by whilst Memory-Map was running but it was superb to have the moving map, depths, buoys etc on screen (still need the charts though!)
