I'm pondering getting a slipcase, despite all the flack it seems to recieve around here. The reason being that I sit here on this saturday afternoon and ponder walking down to the beach for a bit. However, I keep findong one thing after another that's keeping my tied to my computer (my natural state). I wonding, does anyone that has it, think that the slip case would do a GOOD job at keeping the sand out of my motion?

    A few points:
All I'm thinking of is sand protection
There would be no keyboard or any other wire going in to compromise the case

It might be better to keep your Motion out of the sand.

The slip cover does zip and enclose the tablet completely while allowing you to write on it at the same time. I would think it would work pretty well.

I wouldn't try burying it up to it's neck however...

I haven't used any kind of cover, but would a gallon size Zip-Loc bag work? If I had one handy I'd see if it fits. It might prevent both sand and beer from intruding!

I have the case it should work fine. the only Problem I See with the Zip Lock is the heat and condensation.

How tightly do the zippers close? I'm refering specifically to the ends of the zippers, often times there can be a rather large hole around the nose the the 'zipping part' (sorry I don't know the technical terminology of zippers ;) ).

I agree it might be wise to keep it away from the sand, or to look into persuing the 'large ziplock bag' approach, I think that might be a very viable option.

How could condensation be a problem with the ziplock?

Two reasons it would be problematic. One, humidity. Two I don't think it is hermetically sealed against sand, adult beverages, etc.
