Does any forum software have an age of post indicator? Aside from the date I mean.

This is a blue forum (at least as I see it) -- it'd be cool if darker and darker shades of brown indicated increasing age (starting at some arbitrary point like two weeks.)

Yea I've seen that. No dates, just times like "3 days, 2 weeks, 1 year ago".
People might miss it anyway.

Some forums, like phpBB3 forums, have warnings for old posts.

After you hit reply. ... a visible message appears.

"This post is over 3 months old, don't reply unless you really need to".
