Maybe try using it for a day or so without the AirCard? The event log (eventvwr.exe from Start -> Run) should give you some hints as to whether or not your system has been crashing on you... or it might have some other handy information.
Recently after I restart, XP says that it is recovering from a serious crash, but I restarted it, and it didn't seem like anything out of the ordinary happened. When I go through the reporting process, it says that the video driver caused the crash. Doesn't seem like that big of a deal and I hope it doesn't become one, but it is kind of annoying. I am using the original driver, should I upgrade? Any ideas? I have been having some other random stability problems lately, but they seem unrelated. They usually occur when I am using the internet with my sierra aircard 555. Thanks in advance, Sam

At one time there was a bug that made the error reporting program show up after every reboot even if there had not been a crash. I thought that it had been solved with SP1 but maybe its still hanging around. I think it was something to do with the paging file not being cleared up properly.
Here is the MS Knowledge Base Article about it.

Eddwo, is the service pack something that I have to download or is it already on the tablet? If everything is working ok I usually don't tempt the computer gods I just leave everything alone.
-Afterimage, I will check out the event log, I never even knew such a thing existed, but a day without the aircard? How will I ever get by? That thing is about the slowest thing I have ever used but I am still hooked. Thanks for the responses.

The OS found a problem with a driver and then fixed it by itself. Chances are you recently upgraded or made some driver change. It will not likely occur again and certaintly won't if the OS fixed it by finding another driver.quote:Originally posted by DrRock

Yes XP Tablet Edition includes SP1 so you don't need to install it. This should mean that the repeated error reporting should not happen. If you are still getting the message when the computer has NOT crashed I suggest you follow the work around in the knowledge base by removing and replaceing your pagefile.
WORKAROUND
You can solve this problem by recreating the pagefile. To recreate the pagefile, follow these steps:
Click Start.
Right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
On the Advanced tab, in the Performance section, click Settings.
In the Virtual Memory section, click Change.
For Paging file size for selected drive, click No Paging File and then click Set.
Click Yes after the following warning appears:
If the paging file on volume X: has an initial size of less than xx megabytes, then the system may not be able to create a debugging information file if a STOP error occurs. Continue anyway?
(X is the drive letter and xx is the amount of RAM installed on your computer minus 1 megabyte.)
Click System Managed Size.
Click OK four times, and then restart the computer when you are prompted.
