The TC1000 seems a very popular prop for TV and film.
Can we start a thread of sightings?

Heres a couple to start us off.

    Pure 24 on BBC Three

Theres a PCMCIA card of some sort there. I suspect its 802.11x, I wonder why they arn't using the Internal one?

    Spooks on BBC One
Here the TC1000 plays a staring role.
Theres some special secret program called firestorm that the intelligence agents are trying to steal. They send in a new recruit who has a photographic memory to enter some secret codes and forward the program in an email.

Here we get to see some nice swivel action.

I'm sure I've seen some more, but can't remember where at the moment.
I'll post them when I find them.

In Canada, there is something called "The Space Channel"

They periodically have a feature called "Space News"

The fellow who walks around and talks through the space news holds a TC1000 (with a big HP logo on the bottom)

I'm pretty sure that I have never seen him actually look at it, reading instead I think, from his teleprompter.

But - there is a little more exposure to the concept.

Just to add to the list of sightings: Tonight I saw (very briefly) either a TC1000 or TC1100 on Fox's "24", which I also highly recommend to anyone who hasn't seen it.

Here in Australia, we have a show called "The Mole" (I suspect it is a version of an American show, so you probably all know what it's about). Basically, contestants complete challenges for cash, but one of them is a Mole, who tries to thwart their efforts.

Anyway, a big part of the show is for the contestants to go into a room and fill out a computer questionare about who they think the Mole is. Well, last year they used notebooks, but this year they used Tablet PC's, and our favourite little TC1000 was their choice! They also projected the TC1000 screen onto a big plasma screen for the voting each week, and the host used the pen to tap each person's name and see if they were the lowest score (person who knew the least about the Mole) and therefore would be voted out.

I have to tell you, I was tickled pink to see a TC1000 on a humble Aussie reality show.. :)

They are becoming more and more popular on TV. I saw it for a second on CSI last night. The lawyer was using it in the court room. My wife wasn't too excited when I pointed it out. Maybe she would be if I bought her one too. :D

MI-5 Tonight saw the TC1000 - contained codes and executables for EMP generator. Odd confluence of ideas.
