Okay, if all goes according to plan, I'm going to purchase a M1300 tablet pc and have it in hand the day before I leave for a conference. [8D] Since I only have a day to play...um...I mean configure the tablet, I need to know what apps you guys would consider to be essential.

I know I'm going to install the following:
    • Office 2003 Beta
    • MS Reader
    • Adobe Acrobat

    What else?

Your tablet will already come with Miscrosoft Journal on it...I would order the OneNote Beta from Microsoft today so it arrives at the same time you get your tablet...that is, in all honesty, the only application besides word and internet explorer that I use every single day on my tablet.

OneNote should be included with the Office 2003 beta, but yes I agree that should be an app you install. Also check out the Snipping powertoy and the other powertoys on Microsoft's web-site, some of those are great little apps to have loaded on your Tablet PC.

IS OneNote part of the Office 2003 beta?? Microsoft, all along, has been saying that it will NOT be part of MS Office 2003 and that you will need to purchase it separately...

It's been included in the Office Beta Kit but you're right, I think it's going to be a stand-alone product.

Download the power toys (especially the cross word), and the Mind Manager demo.
