After reading the review of the new Acer Tablet PC C110 based on Centrino Technology. I am please to say that Compaq Tablet PC TC1000 still has a better battery life (4-5 hours Vs Acer 3.5 - 4 hours).

Intel is closing the gap but hopefully Transmeta will push power efficient CPU even further with TM8000 Astro.

Yes, that is certainly true. Battery life is still going to be better with Transmeta, but the tradeoff there is performance. The C110 perfoms like a 1.3Ghz Pentium 4, while the TC1000 performs like a 900Mhz Pentium 3. Both plenty powerful though, so if battery life is the biggest deal for someone the TC1000 still would be the way to go. Plus you can't ever get past the incredible design, the main reason I choose the TC1000. :-)
