on that subject - can the battery charger & stand be thought of as equivalent to the flexdock? is there anything useful about the flexdock? is it key to have both a battery charger and flexdock?
thanks
I'm going to buy a M1300 and want to know if the batter charger is worth getting. I'm going to get a 2nd 6-cell battery and that is why I'm asking. Anyone have any imputus?
Thanks

It might be more convenient, but you could do without it.
Just, when you're plugged in, put the battery that needs charging in the device so it will charge, when it's fully charged two hours later take it out and pop the second one in. If you've got more than two batteries then it would be very useful, but you COULD do without if it's an expense that you wouldn't like to make.
With the battery charger, you don't have to pick your seat based on where the plug-ins are. I am in a meeting now with the battery charger off in the corner with a fresh battery ready to go.
The flex dock saves the constant plugging/unplugging of peripheral cables.
Mmmmmm. I think I would charge the batteries overnight so it might be worth getting a charger so I don't have to wake up to change the batteries in the unit. I'll give it some thought though. I hadn't thought about the Flexdock, is it a useful accessory?
I do charge overnight. I'm in an all-day, two-day offsite meeting, with constant use (including wifi). With the charger, I never have to worry about plugging in or not having a fresh battery.
I don't own the Flex Dock because my own usage pattens haven't required it.
Buy a flex dock if you will use the Tablet as your main computer when you get home but want it to be mobile when you leave the house.
Mmmmmm.... a flexdock seems alot for a stand and port replicator.
