Windows 8 consumer release is pre-installed. Windows 7 Pro COA on bottom of tablet. Tablet comes with additional bay battery. No CD/DVD drive. Battery life is about 6-7 hrs with power setting configured a bit on the highend. I bet you could get 8+ if you optimize power settings a bit more. Tablet latch is broken for tablet mode only. It works for laptop mode. This part is about $15-20 on ebay.
