Thread: Driver installation TC1100

  1. Default Driver installation TC1100

I have recently purchased a used TC1100 and installed a new hard drive. Using HP/Compaq recovery software I installed Windows XP Tablet PC Edition and then went on to installing drivers. This is where everything seemed to go to crap. When attempting to install the button driver I got an error message telling me "This software in not supported on this system" (notice the typo...yes the typo is in the error message). And when attempting to install the digitizer driver, I get a Severe error telling me "No supported tablet was found. Wacom Penabled hardware required". Does anyone have any idea? Am I just an idiot or is there simply something I am missing?

Here are a few drivers that I found that I needed when I installed Windows 7.

    The video driver here. http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport..._I20037-103732

Try installing this driver for the screen rotation and buttons. http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport..._I19579-103153

If you still are having problems it might be the install of windows that is messed up. Do you have a Windows XP Tablet disk set?

Yes I have Windows Tablet XP disk set. And I was ok with the button install and the video install. The one I am having trouble with is the digitizer driver. Any ideas on how to get that one installed?

I'd go to hp and download directly from them and install.

Docg is right, If I remember right it is the button driver that controls all of that.

Are you having problems with the pen working? Are you sure you have the right pen? The one you need does not take batteries.

You might just have to redo the Windows install. You say you did a recovery, Did you do a full install with formatting the hard drive from scratch with the XP Tablet edition cd?
