I have an LE1600. When I got it it had what I suppose were the original Tablet PC pen drivers from 2001(according to the Hardware Device Manager).

Alias Sketch recognized the pressure-sensitive action of the pen but other apps like Corel Painter did not and an animation app called Plastic Animation Paper behaved very oddly, needing every button to be double-clicked where normally a single press would do.

So,I installed the latest Tablet PC driver from the Wacom site and that fixed everything. Every app used the pen great... for about 2 days.

After that, the cursor would freeze as soon as the computer finished booting. I could move it with the pen up until TheMotion Dashboard appeared and not again until the computer was launched into "turn off "(I had to control the cursor with a USB moose in between)

Figuring there was a conflict I "rolled back" the one driver I could find with a modern date. That restored my computer to its original, mostly non-pressure-sensitive state.

Since then I've tried rerunning the Wacom installer but it doesn't change anything. It doesn't appear to have put any new drivers in place and the computer behaves no differently.

What am I doing wrong here ?
