Any benefit of ordering 64 bit version over 32?

    Chris,

I'm not certain what you are asking. If you're asking about using a 64-bit computer then yes, there is an advantage because the operating system works faster and you have the option of adding more than 4 Gb of RAM.

However, I suspect you're asking about ordering the 64-bit version of NaturallySpeaking over the 32-bit. If my assumption is correct, the answer is as follows:

There is no such thing as a 64-bit version of NaturallySpeaking or Dragon Medical. All Dragon Medical versions from 10.1 on up are 64-bit compliant but not 64-bit. Nearly all applications are still 32-bit and although it takes a smidgen longer to load a 32-bit application into memory, because nearly all of NaturallySpeaking loads into memory, it runs like a 64-bit application once it has been launched. You don't have to worry about a specific version of Dragon Medical Practice Edition (w/DNS 11 Speech Engine) because there is only one. At least this part of the equation is simple. Unfortunately, just about the time we learn the name of an application, Nuance has to go and change it so instead of calling this version of Dragon, Medical 11, Nuance has dubbed it Dragon Medical Practice Edition. Of course, unraveling these idiosyncrasies is the job of your reseller. ;)
