Default Dell XT3 Pen Looks Different

Over at Engadget, they've posted another news item about the three Dell tablets that will be issued this year:

Of particular interest to me is the pen that is shown near the bottom of the XT3 picture (picture at right); it's not the samo-samo N-trig digital pencil that we've seen thus far this year (HP Slate,HTC Flyer, Fujitsu T580 and Q550...). Of course, it could still be an N-trig pen of a different type, but it will certainly be interesting to see.

Note that this news item points to a different CPU for the XT3, too...!?!!

An Italian web page confirms that the Dell XT3 is likely to be introduced soon, with availability in November. An image shows a close-up of the pen, which is a battery-powered N-trig Digital Pencil with a new design; the pen body is longer and it features two buttons (rather than just the one right-click button). Given the late introduction date, this DP is likely to feature the incremental inking and pressure sensitivity improvements that N-trig has had in the pipeline for the last few months...
