    Yep :-)
Check out the Android x86 project. Should run fine except they don't have any wacom drivers so no touch screen :-/

    Have fun :-D

why not go Ubuntu linux instead- you can have your touchscreen. Guess I don't see the point of a tc1000 without it's touchscreen.

Oh I'm not suggesting that Android would be an option for daily use or even be a good experience running on the TC1000. But it's interesting. I'd definitely suggest Ubuntu for a tablet OS. I'm running Ubuntu 10.04 on my Motion M1400 at the moment and the customization options are unmatched my next project is to optimize Unity (The netbook interface) for tablet use :-)

Yep. As far a I know they are working on porting the Wacom drivers from Linux to Android but it sounds like they are having some problems.

If they (the uber techs of honored fame) do get the wacom drivers ported then that would be another uptick in the competition to get your hands on a tc1000 or tc1100!

Grindboy I have a question, since the tc1000 has the trans meta processor and doesn't allow prefetching which os would work best on it anyway? I switched to an 1100 because it wouldn't run a sql based and netframe based program that I needed for work. I even tried the code morph patch on it and still not a good fit. I wish I could put linux on it and run the program under wine, but I fear that to be untenable.

Currently dual booting my 1100 so it works for now. My child has the 1000

Could you take some videos of how well your Linux tablet works ?
I think John and many others would be interested in how well your cool Linux M1400 works !
Motion would probably want to know as well !
    Motion LE1600 VA x2, Motion LS800, Toshiba M200 x4, Motion LE1700 x4 and a TC1100 with dock just for nostalgia. No Ipads.

I was planning on doing a video about the hardware modifications I've made to my tablet so I could easily add in a tour of the os modifications as well. I was going to try and make a "tabuntu" which would work a bit like eeebuntu where you tell it, on install, which tablet you have and it installs the correct drivers (although I'm coming up to the ends of my degree at the moment so I won't be working on it very
    soon)

I'm in a bhf (big huge fight) with grub 2 at the moment trying to get it to boot off of a cloned drive but once I've got my tablet up and running again I'll do the video.
