Thread: Windows 7 RMTAB-912-T01

  1. Question Windows 7 RMTAB-912-T01

    Hi Everyone

I have just bought an RMTAB 912-T01 on ebay because I wanted to run a programme that needs to use portrait view, however, screen rotation doesn't work. In fact none of the button functions worked initailly but I managed to resolve that by finding a fix on this forum, but I am still without the ability to rotate the screen.

From searching the web I believe this is a windows 7 problem and the fixes I have found so far, one involved altering lines in the registry, far to dicey for me I am a computer user and no more! the other which seemed to fix the problem was using the XP driver which I don't have and wouldn't know where to begin to look for it.

My current situation is I now have the option in Control Panel-Tablet Pc Settings -display to set orientation, in display in Control Panel-Display change the appearance of your display only one display is there Display is Generic Non Pnp Monitor on standard VGA Graphics Adapter Resolution is 1024x768

In Device Manager my video controller has no driver it's info is Other Device, PCI bus 0 device 2 function 1 , I have tried everything I know to obtain a driver with no success. Could this be the cause of my rotation problem.

I bought this tablet really cheap and I do like it but I am dissapointed I can not use it for it's intended purpose because of the lack of screen rotation.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks
    Roz

    I suspect you tried
    http://www.rm.com/support/
and searched for drivers "RTAB912" in the search box.
or searched their support forums for "windows 7".
