Situation:
----------------------------------------
I recently bought a used Toshiba M200 convertible as replacement for my home pc.
Specs:
CPU: Centrino 1.6 Ghz
RAM: 2048 MB (shipped with 2x 512mb)
HDD: 160 GB Seagate (shipped with 40 gb Toshiba drive)
WLAN: TP-Link TL-WN961N (3x3 MIMO N-Draft had to insert a antenna) (shipped with intel 2100bg)
Dockingstation: Advanced Multidock 3 with build slimline usb DVD-Reader/cd-writer: Teac DW-224E
------------------------------------------------------
the Multidock 3 Dockingstation is connected with my second screen with 1680x1050 resolution
and a backup usb Fujitsu Siemens case with build in 500 GB seagate HDD.
and usb Keyboard,Mice,bluethooth MSI stack.
----------------------------------------------------
I took 2 hours to install windows 7 from a DVD-RW in the Dockingstation.
Best drivers I Found for Windows 7 Build 7100 RC
------------------------
NVIDA Graphic driver:
####################################
For users witch need the multimonitor support use:
Nvidia 67.42 XP driver http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/drivers/xp/67.42
is for me the best i set the "RotateFlag," in the modified
nv4dispd.inf file from 4 to 0x40 and now.
Pros
-hibanate
-sleep
-rotation
-the second screen is working without any problem!
-backlite turns off with screen
Cons
-no AERO ?!? not tested I don't think it can perform good wih 2 highres-screens enabled...
Nvidia 96.65: h**p://de.download.nvidia.com/Windows/96.85/96.85_forceware_winvista_x86_international_whql.ex e (you have to set the rotation flag to 0x40)
Pros: -Multimonitor support
-Rotation
-OpenGL works...
Cons:
-Power save
-Hibernation mode dosen't work. Driver fails if you try to wake it up, you can see and move the cursor but screens are staying black... you can see how windows trys to restart the driver after 2-3 attemps you get a bluescreen telling something about nvlddmkm.sys
Nvidia 97.19 (not needed to set the rotation flag)
Pros:
-Multimonitor support
-Rotation
Cons:
-OpenGL seemsto not work anymore... (Ultrastar)
-Power save and Hibernation mode dosen't work. Driver fails if you try to wake it up, you can see and move the cursor but screens are staying black... you can see how windows trys to restart the driver after 2-3 attemps you get a bluescreen telling something about nvlddmkm.sys

users which don't need the support for the second screen i would recommend the Nvidia 97.54 driver for better Aero, Sleep & Hibernate support
Toshiba 97.52 h**p://support1.toshiba-tro.de/tedd-files2/0/display-20070912152010.zip
Pros:
-Rotation,
-Hibernate and
-Sleep works
Cons:
-if second screen is activated internal screen dosen't work until new driver installation or reboot without external screen.
Sleep requires a change in brightness (the screen does not wake up, unless you change the brightness post wakeup, thus a possible plug-in-out of power).
nvidia 97.54 for windows vista 32bit (Flashed2000) h**p://laptopvideo2go.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=12408 (need modded inf)
Pros:
-Hibernate works perfectly
-Rotation,
-Aero works on full resolution pretty well (with transparency disabled), but a rare occasions you get a flicker a couple times a day, except if you have many windows open (namely more than three separate windows), then it get much more frequent by the load), but defiantly much less flickers than 97.52 at full resolution
Cons:
-Sleep requires a change in brightness (the screen does not wake up, unless you change the brightness post wakeup, thus a possible plug-in-out of power).
- No dual screen support (one at a time, either the primary or secondary)
- Brightness control seems to be quite moody, sometimes it appears sometimes doesn’t, am not sure on the relevance of this or if it is affected - need of modded inf
Other Nvidia drivers: All Vista driver over 10X.XX don't work at all (may be you can install one but your screen is filled with a grey field)
all working driver over 97.19 had problems to recognize erxternel and internel monitor, correctly most of the time only one worked(the external). I got the other drivers fron laptopviedeo2go
####################################
SD-CardReader: f*p://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp38001-38500/sp38175.exe found HP drivers over UID and google:" HP Secure Digital (SD) Bus Driver 6.0.4069.1 2000" they work without any problem!
I'm using the reader to put files on my 8GB Mircro SDHC class 6 card over a miniSD(TF) to SD-Adapter and it WORKS PERFEKT also in XP with old Toshiba drivers!
Problems: Nothing

Pen/Hover Buttons:
i was unable to install the Toshiba Common Modules for the M200 and Vista even in Vista compatibility mode... (I Like this buttons, they are very useful for scrolling with the pen)Warning: The common Modules from XP (cmod-de-20071114105518) dosen't install the uninstaller in (xp comp.. mode) I lost my rotation funktionallty...
to get it back to work:
i had to uninstall all Toshiba software, then in disabled all still existing toshiba autoruns... after that i reinstalled all Toshiba software (vap, tpcep)...
now it's working again(hard work and still installed old common modules)
As Replacement i wrote a little tool whitch should help with the scrolling on any Tablet running windows. you can find it here: tabletpcbuzz.com/showthread.php?t=36661
Toshiba Extension manager:
Added the functionallity of the dockingstation. It set the screen resolutions orientation an order if dockingstation is connected... if the eject button on the dockingstation was presst all things connectet to it where ejected.
