Russ: Elsewhere, I have written about my adventures using 64-bit Vista on an HP tx2000 (tx2051). It worked, but the bottom line is that I ran into little incompatibilities with applications that hadn't given me problems with 32-bit Vista.
In my mind, you really have to ask yourself why you want to run a 64-bit system. If it's just to be on the "bleeding edge" of Tabletdom, and not for any practical reason, then I don't think its a practical move. I like to be out on the point as much as anyone, but even I don't have a good reason to use 64-bit OS... There's a lot of software out there that's been developed under 32-bit code, and I'd rather be able to use it than be pestered with potential compatibility issues...
