Well, like the start of hockey season, my excitement is growing as the time for the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas approaches. Last year was my first year to attend and I only was there for a couple days. I didn't even get to attend the Tablet PC get together because of how my flight was scheduled. This year I won't have the same problem. I'm arriving the day before the show starts and not leaving until the day after.

CES is not just new products, it is also a time to meet friends (Rob Bushway and Matt Faulkner of GBM) and see Tablet PC vendors (TabletKiosk and Motion Computing among others) as well as all the shiny, new stuff.

My best purchase last year wasn't a Tablet PC product - it was the GoClickFree backup device. A simple piece of equipment, it backs up my tablet just by plugging in the USB - no software, no setup, just click free backup.

I also saw a neat product for a friend - snorkeling goggles with a built-in digital camera. I'm already excited about what I might see this year.

Please post here if you are going to be attending and I look forward to seeing you at the Tablet PC Meetup!
