Unsurprisingly, Motion now has an announcement that you can purchase a Motion tablet shipping with Vista and downgrade the operating system to Windows XP Tablet edition by purchasing a downgrade CD.
Here is the info from their website:
If you have a Microsoft Windows Vista Business system, but need to continue using Microsoft Windows XP:
For a limited time Motion Computing is providing Windows XP Recovery media as a means to downgrade from Windows Vista. Motion Computing customers that have Windows Vista Business "Logo'd Systems" may purchase Windows XP Recovery media until January 31, 2009. Fees may vary.
BTW, if you don't want to do the downgrade yourself, certain Motion resellers can do the downgrade and ship the tablet with XP preloaded.
Please contact Motion at 866-322-9783, option 9 or firstname.lastname@example.org for more details.
