Hey. I'm looking at my tablet, considering fixing it up. Perhaps 768 or even 1gb of ram. 7200rpm hard drive. But that's about all I know that we can do other than the wireless cards.
Before I get into that, let me give the background information. I won my TC1000 back when they first came out. Microsoft had some one a day giveaway sweepstakes, and never in a million yeras would I have guessed it, but my entering daily actually won me one. 5 or 6 years later, it's showing it's age. I desperately need a new keybaoard. Orange soda was spilled on the back (at the swivel part) so it doesn't want to turn. My keyboard is missing a few keys, others stick, and some others letters are just worn off. My battery life is 20 minutes tops. And, I never really took care of it, so the screen was on a LOT, so now my bulb life is about 1/2 what it used to be. No biggie for indoor computing, but, heck, even new you couldn't use it outisde.
Do you guys think it's worth having to spend ~$150 for a keyboard and battery just to get back to newish condition, to upgrade my ram and hard drive?
Thanks
-Brian
