Picked up a used Tecra M7
I went the UMPC route for a few months but I'm back to being a tablet pc user. I picked up a used Toshiba Tecra M7 (used to have a M200) and so far, so good. The hinge is wobbly and I'll have to open it up and tighten it. Also the WIFI switch seems to be broken, but at least it's on the "on" setting. It's 2 gig dual core with 2 gigs of ram, 80 gig HD and the Nvidia nvs110 128 meg graphics card.
It came with 2 power adapters, the extended battery and 4 recovery disks that were made with the included software. The recovery with the recovery partition failed but the recovery with no recovery partition completed. So far, it seems to be okay.
There are scratches on the cover and a 1 inch hairline crack in the case on the front part of the laptop near the mousepad. Other than that, just some usual wear and tear. It's a little over a year old and is therefore out of warranty.
Just a quick reality check here. Was $500 too much for this bundle?
