Default Upgrading Memory C302XMI help !

Hello, I need to upgrade my installed memory to 2 GB. I have tried a SD DDR 400Mhz and it did not worked. Removing the serial from the built in memory I have discovered it was 333MHZ and not 400 so I must send it back to the seller.
However the main problem is another: I have found a 256 memory module. Where is located the other 256 one ? I have tried to open my notebook but it has been really difficult and I gave up.
So I need to know, how did you upgrade to 2GB ? Did you purchase a 2GB memory module ? If you do so, the built in one is disabled ? (The tablet is reported 2GB max), If I can't add a 2GB module, could I add only a 1GB module and leave the other 256MB one or must they be changed in couple ?
Thank you in advance for your answers.

There used to be a lot on this topic but the archives are gone. To find the exact memory you need go to crucial.com and use their memory advisor. The second bay for your memory is under the keyboard. It's not difficult to remove but you need to be careful. Your first memory module should be 512, not 256. You can put a 1GB under the keyboard and have 1.5GB or you can buy two 1GB sticks if you need to max the memory. Hope this helps. Good luck.

    1) Remove AC and pull battery.

    2) Remove SINGLE screw centered case bottom labeled with kb symbol.

    3) Pull down 3 tiny indents with pen tip at top corners and center of keyboard to unlock. Unsnap keyboard from top and side ridges.

    4) Gently flip over keyboard with ribbon cable attached. If cable later needs reseating, release tiny lock tabs on connector, reinsert cable and relock.

    5) Remove 6-8 screws holding down silver metal shield plate. Note which length screw goes back where.

    6) Replace RAM chip up to 1GB.

    Reverse to reassemble.
