Squish,
Have you checked out BatteryGeek.com? I was just thinking they might have a third party alternative of some kind that would work for you.
Good Luck!

Does anyone have an old SC-3000 battery they are willing to sell me? I don't need much run-time, even five minutes would be enough. My A/C adapter plug is a little loose so I lose power whenever I move the computer or the cable, and I just need a battery to get my computer through those few seconds. Electrovaya has been out of stock for the past year or so.

Did you mean batterygeek.net? I just checked them and they carry no batteries for Electrovaya nor Tatung. Thanks for the suggestion, though.
A Tatung battery will work. I have a Tatung that I use as a backup battery. Lasts an hour and a half. Works in 3000 and 2000 models.
I've tried looking for those as well. Googling for "TTAB-A12D battery" turns up no dealers and "tatung battery" turns up the wrong models. Do you know who sells them?
Sorry I don't. Try the Tatung site.quote:Originally posted by Squish

Hi Squish! If you still need a used battery for SC-3000, please let me know.
I don't know if PMs are working - yes, I am still looking for that battery.
Squish: You might consider having one of your existing batteries rebuilt. Primecell looks like they might do a good job and their prices look pretty reasonable, too:

At this point, it doesn't look like you have too much to lose by trying this...
It looks like they only do NiCad and NiMH rebuilds. The Electrovaya would need Li-Polymer cells.
I don't even remember where the old battery is. :(
