    Default Flybook V5

I don't find any references to the new flybook tablets here. Has anyone had their hands on one? How does it compare to the 8-9 inch tablets from Motion or Fujitsu (speed, battery life, handwriting, etc)?
I'm considering upgrading from my tc1000, which is a great size. I think a 12" would be too big, so I'm interested in the smaller models. Thanks for any comments...

    Hi,

I've owned the Fujitsu P1510D. I would suggest you see if ALLTP has an 8" demo unit you can try out for a week before downsizing. Of course if the 10" on the TC1000 worked well for you... But remember with the 8" you are dealing with a smaller, cramped keyboard. The 8" was a completely different mobile experience for me. For travel and just wanting to respond to emails at length it was great, but I could not get myself to embrace it as my main device.

Don't quote me on this...but if I recall what turned me off of the Flybook was the screen. It did not use the Wacom technology. I think.

Hey... sorry I didn't see your post earlier. I purchased the Flybook V5 in October 2007 from FlybookUS.com and couldn't be more pleased with it. There isn't a whole lot of info out about it, so I decided to start blogging about my experience with it. Please come by the Flyblog and let me know if you have any questions. The earlier posts (October/November '07) have more "experience" info - I've kind of gotten bogged down on some nit-picky update issues in recent weeks (probably less interesting unless you actually own one).
