i'm thinking of buying a used one to get my feet wet with my first tablet but, i am an artist . i love my wacom just wondered is this one pen enabled before i buy it?

Yes it is pen enabled.... but its not the best TPC for an artist. It doesn't have a view anywhere screen and the colors shift a bit when the screen is tilted. A ST5000 series with a view anywhere screen would be more money, but would be much better in your case. If you use "artist" and "ST4110" in the site search engine you'll get lots of hits with other peoples opinions. I luv my ST4110 but its not all things to all people.
