because the minimum memory
requirement is 512 mb, and the 3500 maxes out at 256 mb.
However, for curiosity's sake, I ghosted a working copy of
vista onto a 3500, and it does boot and run. It has two
unknown devices -- battery aid and pen. I could not
installing win2k versions of their drivers. But otherwise
vista seems to be running OK.
