Sorry that we could not have been of more help - but thank you for coming back and telling us what you did. I'm sure this will help someone else at some point.
Well after three weeks of trying to restore my p3500 I have finally found a way to do it. I loaded an old drive I have with DOS 7 and placed the image files for the restore from the cds on that drive. I connected my p3500 drive to an external usb adapter. I also put the ghost file from the cd on the hard drive a booted into ghost. I loaded the image file and selected the external usb drive as the destination. It took about an hour but finally I have a bootable working fresh copy of windows for my p3500.
