I have had success with Ubuntu 7.04 ..... In fact I am currently dual booting with Windows and Ubuntu. I have the screen rotation working, but not automatically yet....
Are you booting from SD card, USB, and or PCMCIA Flash, because that's what I would like to do?
The liveCD was tested from a USB - DVD Burner.... I am dual booting from the internal hard drive currently.
hmmm... how were you able to get your M200 to boot from USB?
I had a lot of success with various knoppix versions.
Some usb drive are bootable from the boot menu. I have one the toshiba branded drives.

You got any directions on how you did it?
Well.....I burned a knoppix cd and then put in the external drive and booted to it.......seriously, not much to it.
But look in the FAQ thread there is info about which external drives are bootable.

I had success with a Knoppix 5.2 version.
Allthough I do not own a bootable DVD-ROM I managed to book Knoppix on the M200 by 'just' first booting a desktop PC with Knoppix Live DVD and then run the network-server of Knoppix and then let the M200 boot from network (through my router, a crosscable connection did fail). It worked brilliant for my purposes.
